Optimism

 

The clatter of bottles tossed

in the neighbor’s recycling bin, slices

of Yukon gold potato bread

and jack cheese to tide me over

until dinner, the nudge of a screwdriver

under the lid of a can of paint.

      I am just using the default settings with this freebie blogging setup that came with my hosting plan.  I should probably go in and see if I can delete the voting bit as I would much rather someone leave a comment than vote.  And I don't want people to think I'm trying to collect votes or something...
