won ton soup and pork fried rice,

almond chicken or broccoli beef.

Plenty of ice water. Hot tea

in a shiny metal pot. A tidy line

of red geraniums beneath

the window, and in red letters

the name of the drug store

across the street. In finer print,

prosperity is in my future.
